News in Bali Advertiser
      #260607 - Sat Aug 30 2008 12:48 AM

just reading the bali advertiser local news section www.baliadvertiser.biz there is an article about an Australian Man 61 years old, has been arrested as a peodofile. I hope its the bloody one my friend saw in July at that new Blue Ocean Club what ever its called down on Kuta Beach. he was openly kissing and fondling a young boy around 10 or 12 while my friends were having a drink. My friend went up to the guy and said you should be ashamed of yourself he is a young child. the child barked up and said, he looks after me and gives me money,he loves me. She said Bullcrap he is using you. This sort of thing gets up my goat, as they couldn't get away with it here, but go to Bali and totally exploit these kids in the open, god knows what behind closed doors

So did they report it to the police or just tch !! tch !! and have another drink.

These things need affirmative action whether your an expat or a tourist.

See something like this, call the coppers

They did talk to someone, but they just shrugged it off, you tell the police and they don't do much most of the time

The times they are a changing Mel.

There are now groups on Bali who keep the police accountable in such matters.

Make a report, call the tourist police or whoever and make a difference.

As has been reported in one JBR, there are NGO's on Bali that are trying to get these kids off the streets and away from these animals.

As this problem was created through tourism, I believe it is as much our responsibility to clean it up, as the governments.

Prosecutors demanded the court in the tourist island of Bali approve Australia's request for the extradition of Paul Francis Callahan to face child sex charges in Australia

The Bali police more and more act in these matters!
Most EU countries request for the extradition of paedophiles from Southeast Asian countries like e.g. Indonesia, Thailand, Filipines and the convictions are pretty severe! I think this is, at present, the best way to handle the problem and for those who get caught the worst! It just might make them think twice....

Sadly I believe that this person was the one reported as being a local from this part of OZ. Well he bolted to Bali to escape charges here, not facing charges there.
Who knows whats gone on over there?

My Balinese friend told me about the arrest of an Australian for paedophilia in the first week I was there. The guy was living in Singaraja. I am assuming this is the same one or has another guy been finally caught. The arrest I was told about happened nearly 3 weeks ago now.

Bali advertise is conservative web site. I'm found new Advertising site for balinese, it's more better and absolutely free for private advertising. http://www.myrentbuysale.com
