The extraordinary amount of money raised at the BFN September dinner is now being budgeted by Melina. As you're aware, the money will be supporting the Education and welfare of children in Agoes' village. Your generosity is making it possible for truly wonderful things to happen including:
• text books for grade 1 thru to 6 ( they have never had any) • a toilet • a water tank • a fresh coat of paint for the classrooms
A detailed report will be available soon. Well done, guys. Give yourselves a big pat on the back !! terima kasih banyak

Pat on the back (requiring VERY long arms!) for you, too, my friend - for being part of the committee overseeing this wonderful opportunity for us to give and the children to receive - and for letting us know!!

The thing that makes this forum different to others is the willingness of all the members to contribute, in one way or another, and others less fortunate are all the better for it.
Well done and thanks for keeping us informed

Sending you a big hug! Great job. As I've said before, we may not save the world but each of us can make a difference to a life or two. Congratulations on a job well done. cheetah

That's great Garry, nice to hear our small contributions can do so much for people who really need it. Sometimes we need to be reminded just how lucky we are.
Well done to all the forumites and lets keep it up.
I encourage all of you to also consider sponsoring a child through Noel at Rotary, it is such a wonderful experience to be able to visit the schools and know you are making a difference. Just have a read of some of the feed back from our last school visit.
Also I would just like to remind you all to keep up with the donations to people like Ibu Robin, who does such a lot to help the mums and babies of Bali. We visited her clinic again this time and it was nice to be able to see what we are helping with when we take clothes, baby goods, pre natal vitamins etc over there.
Great to hear that we can make a difference and everyone give yourselves a pat on the back.
Garry I hope you don't mind me adding my bit to your wonderful post.

congratulations to all ... great effort, there's some very special people in here indeed.
I had it in my head Garry that I read either yourself or Melina mention there was going to be a link created with info on how to help with the project for Agoes village at some point. Is this still on the 'to do' list or have I missed it posted somewhere?
