SD 2 Tista - Desa Ngis - Abang, Karangasem, East Bali

Many people contributed very generously to Bali after the bombing. Whether by cash donations or by taking the decision to continue to travel to Bali for their holidays when many decided that it was just too dangerous. There were many indirect victims of the economic down turn that followed. As things stand now, many children have dropped out of school due to inability to pay and will grow up with an uncertain future.
BFN Project Health & Education has been established to help these children.  Many people in Bali work in the tourism industry and support many family members back in the villages that are off the tourism map.

The idea behind Project Health & Education is to ensure the children get an Education. We have a team that will asses what needs to be done to the school to improve it as well as ensure that the donations go to those that need them most.

Your generosity is making it possible for truly wonderful things to happen;

• complete set of the current Indonesian text books for grade 1 thru to 6 ( they have never had any!!!) [achieved]
• toilets [achieved]
• a well and water tank [achieved]
• Roof renovations [ Government has released funding for the school to totally renovate the buildings] completed, see photos below]
• Painting of classrooms  [ completed ]
• School fence  [achieved]
• Small Library [ achieved ]
• Computer for Library [ achieved ]
• Books for Library [  Phase 3 over 500 books have been donated and we still need to purchase more]
• Desks & Cupboards for 6 classrooms [ Phase 3 ]
• Playground - lay down grass for the play ground area [ Phase 3 ]

Donations
If anyone wants to drop off clothes, books or toys for Project Health & Education you can do so at Villa Jodie in Seminyak ( click here for location map )   just make sure you label it BFN Project Health & Education.

We really need more cash donations in order to complete the phase 3, library books, desks, cupboards for storage  if you would like to make a donation please email melina@mmcmg.com

Merchandising
If anyone would like to purchase any BFN merchandise please contact info@baliforum.com. Remember that 5% of all sales is donated to BFN Project Health & Education.
